Second Bi-Annual West Isles Paddle Symposium
Sept 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2018
Campobello Island, New Brunswick
The West Isles Sea Kayak Symposium (WISKS) is New Brunswick's premier Sea Kayak community gathering. Combining world class coaches and the Bay of Fundy's world class biosphere. With the world's highest tides and some of the most abundant marine life in the world this symposium's location is sure to please.
Executive Director, Jeremy Cline, organized the symposium to offer world class opportunities near the waters he grew up on (Coastal Charlotte County New Brunswick Canada). Since 2008/09 the tourism traffic in the area has fallen off significantly and Jeremy wanted to create an opportunity to showcase this amazing area. Once considered for Canada's first National Marine Park.
The name West Isles refers to Deer Island, Campobello and Grand Manan, the three Inhabited Islands that make up the 50 Islands and Islets of the West Isles Archipelago. Each successive Symposium is rotated through the three Islands.
